Survivorship is an essential component of ovarian cancer care.

Ovarian cancer and its treatments affect every aspect of a patient’s life. Their needs are not only physical/medical but also social, financial, psychological, and spiritual.

Ovarian cancer survivorship care encompasses several components. These include:

  • Detection and surveillance for recurrent disease

  • Prevention of recurrent disease and other late effects

  • Coordination of care among providers

  • Intervention for long-term cancer treatment
